Purpose
“Everyone ends up somewhere. Few people end up somewhere on purpose.” (Craig Groeschel) Do you know where you’re going? Do you know what God designed you for? Are you flourishing and bringing life to those around you? Come find your purpose at this month’s leadership meeting!
DISC & Spiritual Gifts
If you haven’t taken them yet, please take the following online assessments. They will take 15-20 minutes each. It’s well worth the time as you discover more about yourself and get a better idea of the purpose God designed you for. Please bring the results to our next leadership meeting!
December Leadership Meeting
Our next leadership meeting is coming up on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00pm at the church sanctuary.
Over the past couple of months we’ve been working on developing our materials for helping the leaders and people of SRM find the place in the body that God designed them for. The DISC assessment and the Passion assessment were two of the tools we tried out as a leadership team to help us get to know you better and to help you find that place.
In this, our last meeting of 2010, we’re going to work on helping you to identify your God given purpose so you can flourish, thrive, and bless those around you. It will literally take the entire time and it will require you to do some prep work before the meeting.
So, before our next meeting, please take 15 minutes to go through the spiritual gifts test found at this site http://chazown.com/spiritual-gifts/test. When you’re done, print out the results and bring it to the meeting. Even if you’ve taken other spiritual gifts test before, please take this one as it has some different gifts included.

DISC Assessment

At our last leadership meeting on August 3, we referenced a DISC Assessment which measures the four dimensions of normal behavior.  Specifically, those four dimensions deal with how we normally

  • respond to problems and challenges (aggressively or passively)
  • influence others to our point of view (outgoing or more reserved)
  • respond to the pace of environment (predictable or chaotic)
  • respond to rules and procedures set by others (conform or rebel)

Please take the 20-30 minutes to take the assessment found on this site.  You may choose to watch the accompanying videos or not.  In either case, you should get your results by e-mail as a pdf file.  Please print that out and bring it to our next leadership meeting on September 7.  Also, if you would, please forward the e-mail with your results to me.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, September 7.  Meeting starts at 7:00 but please come a little early so we can start right on time.  I will send have an agenda to follow shortly.
